NOTES: This thin-stemmed twisting vine is the only species in the Amphicarpaea genus, a member of the Pea family. It twists around other plants and on fences, reaching up to 6 feet in length. This plant produces flowers along the stem/vine, shown on these pages, and also at the base of the stem.
