NOTES: Amsonia is a genus of about 20 species native to light woodlands in Central and Northeast United States. 'Blue Ice' is a bluestar cultivar that is very similar in appearance to A. tabernaemontana, except it is much more compact.

There is considerable disagreement with the naming of this plant at the variety level. Plant name is not accepted by ITIS / USDA
