Scientific Name:   Aristolochia serpentaria


Woodland perennial growing up to 18 inches tall, the stems often zigzagging. Leaves heart-shaped with a pair of rounded basal lobes. Flowers resemble an old-fashioned tobacco pipe, often blooming below leaf litter. Spreads by rhizomes.
