Dutchman's Breeches
Scientific Name:Dicentra cucullaria


NOTES: Spring ephemeral. Seeds have fatty appendages (elaiosomes) which attract ants that disperse seeds. Flowers resemble upside-down Dutchman's breeches, hence the common name.
