NOTES: In contrast to White Ash, leaflets have short stalks, lack whitened undersides, and have leaf scars flattened at the top (White Ash has U-shaped leaf scars notched at the top). MADBUCK (Maple, Ash, Dogwood, and Buckeye) mnemonic useful for remembering Ohio's four native trees with opposite leaves/branching. Dioecious (male and female flowers on separate plants).
